Kilowatt-hours is a measurement of energy which is the use of power over a period of time, such as the given billing cycle. Kilowatt-hours reflect the amount of energy you use and can easily be controlled by turning appliances off when not in use, adjusting the a/c and electric heating thermostats, installing a timer on your electric water heater and simply using less energy. When you use fewer kilowatt-hours, you can lower your bill.
