- We have 2,400+ outages this afternoon scattered across our service area, but most are in Pearl River County.
- We’ve restored over 9,400 outages since daylight.
- The primary cause of outages is trees on lines, damaged equipment and broken poles.
- We have over 500 crew members working to restore service to our members and have begun to shift manpower to Pearl River County where the majority of outages remain.
- Keep in mind that Pearl River County has 2,400 miles of line which is the equivalent of driving a car from Kiln, Miss., to Los Angeles, Calif.
- We will not stop working today until we restore power to all meters that can receive power.
- We are unable to access some areas of Hancock County due to flood waters and meter issues.
- As additional repairs are made to equipment, it could cause a temporary outage.
- CoastConnect currently has 1,100 outages. Fiber crews are out restoring service.
- The Picayune office lobby is closed today but the drive thru is now open. Offices in Poplarville, Kiln, Bay St. Louis, Gulfport and Biloxi are open for regular business hours. The call center is open and assisting members.
