Winter Weather Preparation

Coast Electric employees are prepared to respond to any challenges caused by the winter weather in our area. Operations teams are positioned in each district throughout our service area to ensure quicker response times. As always, dispatchers are on duty 24/7 and crews are ready to respond in the event of outages.

Coast Electric offices will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 21, and Wednesday, Jan. 22. We will monitor road conditions and determine if offices will reopen Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning. With hazardous road conditions expected, we do not want members to risk traveling to offices to conduct business. We will not be disconnecting service for delinquent payments during this weather emergency. We will also suspend working regular service orders during this weather event. We will resume normal operations when conditions are safe.

Office closings will not impact our response to outages. Crews will work outages as long as driving conditions are safe. Please be aware that restoration may take longer than normal if there are hazardous road conditions. Members can always do business with us on www.coastelectric.coop, on our CE on the Go mobile app or by text at 228-338-4644. Members can also use these methods to report outages and can also report on our website at https://outages.coastelectric.coop/.
